When you ask a teenager how they are feeling, sometimes all you get is a shrug or a simple "ok." A great way to start a conversation and help teens process feeling is through monologues.
Have teens read the monologues below and select a character they connect with. Have them talk about how the character feels. This can lead to a discussion on why they understand them. This type of discussion can give insight into how a teen is feeling without directly confronting the teen and making them uncomfortable. It creates a safe environment for a teenager to open up and share how they feel.
