PART 1
Jester appears on the stage and he is playing a happy tune on his flute (this can be pre-recorded and he can pantomime playing). He can appear inside a cutout of a giant storybook.
NARRATOR/JESTER
Once upon a time, there were three families. There was a family of princesses...
Princesses appear at one end of the stage.
NARRATOR/JESTER (Cont.)
...a family of knights...
Knight appear on another part of the stage.
NARRATOR/JESTER (Cont.)
...and a family of dragons.
Dragons appear.
NARRATOR/JESTER (CONT.)
But then some fairies moved in and created all sorts of trouble. Susie Sally Sassafras was the worst of all.
SUSIE
Peace is boring.
Other fairy nods.
SUSIE (CONT.)
Let's make things a little more interesting.
Susie and little fairy fly up to a little dragon who is playing with something pretty.
LITTLE DRAGON
I love pretty things.
SUSIE
Those things are ok. But do you know who has prettier things than that?
LITTLE DRAGON
Who?
SUSIE
The princesses.
Susie throws fairy dust on the Little Dragon who sneezes.
LITTLE DRAGON
Ah-chew!
SUSIE
That fairy dust will put you under my spell. You will go to the castle and take the pretty things from the princesses.
The little fairy laughs.
Little Dragon SNEAKS inside CASTLE
NARRATOR/JESTER
The little dragon sneaked into the caste and took one of the princess's pretty things.
LITTLE DRAGON
I love it!
PRINCESS 4
She took my pretty thing! Waaa!
LITTLE DRAGON
Ha! Ha!
The little dragon sneaks away. The princesses cry. Susie throws fairy dust on them.
SUSIE
You will take back your pretty thing and take all the dragon's treasure.
Princess Rose sneezes and then looks mad.
PRINCESS ROSE
Aw-chew! Don't worry. We'll get your pretty thing back.
Princesses skip up to a cave.
PRINCESS ROSE
Okay, now you go inside and get the pretty thing back.
PRINCESS LILY
Okay.
PRINCESS ROSE
Wait. And take all their other treasure too.
PRINCESS LILY
No.
PRINCESS ROSE
I dare you.
PRINCESS LILY
No.
PRINCESS ROSE
I double dare you.
PRINCESS LILY
No.
PRINCESS ROSE
I triple dragon dare you.
Princesses look shocked.
NARRATOR/JESTER
There's no way she could resist a triple dragon dare you.
PRINCESS LILY
Fine. But I get half the treasure.
PRINCESS ROSE
Deal.
Princess Lily goes in and sneaks up to dragon. Dragons stir. She tries not to be afraid. She finds something pretty, grabs it and comes out.
PRINCESS ROSE (Cont.)
I love it!
Dragons hear this and roar.
PRINCESS ROSE (CONT.)
Oooops.
Princesses run and hide behind a little cardboard/paper castle. Dragons tear up their castle during the following. Knights try fighting dragons. Princesses take more treasure.
NARRATOR/JESTER
The dragons were mad at the princesses and burned down their castle. The princesses took more treasure so they could afford to buy another castle. The dragons got mad and burned that castle too. It never seemed to end.
PRINCESS ROSE
Will this ever end?
