Randy! Randy! They’re cheering for me, chanting my name. This is so cool!
I can do this. I am going to go out there and amaze them. That’s me. Mr. Amazing. With the power to wow.
This is my big break. I’m going to be a star.
I guess I better get out there. Wish me luck.
(Pause)
Thanks.
(Pause, then panic sets in)
Oh wait, isn’t wishing luck bad luck? Take it back. Take back what you said.
Great. Now I’m cursed. My big moment in the sun, ruined. I’m ruined.
(Falls to his knees and calls out overdramatically)
Ruined!
